You don’t necessary need to take a vacation every few weeks, months or even years if you can make your regular daily life as good as a vacation. Sure you can’t leave your job and go shopping everyday or sit in the Jacuzzi with your significant other all day but there are still a few things (six, to be precise) that you can do to lift your spirits and transform your perception on life.
1. GET OUTDOORS
Appreciate the joy of living and growing by witnessing the world around you. Nature is overwhelmingly marvelous and fascinating too. A bit of fresh air, some autumn sunshine, and the changing leaves are all I need to feel vivacious and energetic.
2. HAVE A PICNIC
Who doesn’t love a good picnic? There really is nothing better than a healthy home made meal, a soft comfy blanket, and some fresh air.
3. BUY YOURSELF FLOWERS
Flowers are healing. They are a great reminder of life and its sheer beauty. Lately I’ve been filling my kitchen with fresh blooming flowers. Every time I walk by I catch a glimpse of their delicate petals and bright colors and it makes me smile from ear to ear.
4. PLAY HAPPY MUSIC AND DANCE LIKE NO ONE IS WATCHING
Happy tunes always put me in a great mood. Add in a little dancing and you’ll be sure to crack a giggle in no time! Not to mention dancing burns calories and gets the blood flowing. Who cares if you look silly?
5. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH GOOD COMPANY
There is no better way to celebrate how lucky we are to live each day then by sharing our lives with those we love.
6. DO SOMETHING NICE FOR SOMEONE ELSE
Go out of your way to do something kind for someone else. You’ll be surprised at how good it will make you feel!
