Meeting point will be Manali Volvo bus stand. From there we will take you to Himalayan lodge loddy at Solang Nallah. Our reperesentative will assist you to check in at this Hotel. Check in time in the Hotel is normally 12:00 noon. However as most of the Volvo coaches from Delhi arrive by 10:00am in Manali, we try to get you an early check in.
Make yourself comfirtable till Lunch. Around 2:00 assemble in hotel lobby and we will take you for some adventure activities like Zip line. Paragliding (At extra cost) etc.
Trek to Shiva Temple : Late afternoon we will trek to Shiva temple. Short and easy trek in Himachal since you will little tired today.
Back to lodge. Enjoy Dinner around campfire.
Chandratal trek : 8:00 a.m. - post breakfast. We will leave for Chandratal which is on the way to Kaza by crossing Rohtang pass / Rohtang La. After crossing Rohtang pass, the route descends down to Gramphoo and takes a right turn along with the Chandra River. From Batal, we drive up towards left towards Chandratal. One needs to walk for the last 2kms / 30mins to reach the mesmerizing lake. One gets a magnificent view of the CB ranges of peaks. This deep blue water has a circumference of 2.5 kms. This is the source of the river Chandra according to some believers, this is the spot from where the god indra`s chariot took the eldest Pandava brother Yudhistra to swarga to heaven in his mortal form.
We will enjoy packed lunch at the lake side: Chandratal lake. Post which we will trek back to road and drive to Kaza and continue our trip.
Arrive Kaza by evening. Check into a beautiful lodge. Overnight
Post breakfast drive to Tabo. Tabo is a small town in the Lahaul and Spiti district. It is one of the most important gompas, not just in Spiti but in the whole of the Tibetan Buddhist world. There are also modern gompa and painting school founded by the Dalai Lama here. Even Today Tabo holds the distinction of being the largest monastic complex in Spiti, constructed in 996 AD.

DHANKAR GOMPA: It is a Buddhist temple in the district of Lahaul and Spiti in India. It is situated at an elevation of 3,894 metres (12,774 feet) in the Spiti Valley between the towns of Kaza and Tabo. The complex is built on a 1000-foot (300-metre) high spur overlooking the confluence of the Spiti and Pin Rivers - one of the world's most spectacular settings for a gompa. Dhang or dang means cliff, and kar or khar means fort. Hence Dhangkar means fort on a cliff. Visit to Tabo Monastery.
Tabo Monastery: Located in the Tago village of Spiti Valley, Himachal Pradesh, northern India. It was founded in 996 CE in the Tibetan year of the Fire Ape. by the Tibetan Buddhist lotswa (translator), Rinchen Zangpo (Mahauru Ramabhadra), the king of western Himalayan Kingdom of Guge. Tabo is noted for being the oldest continuously operating Buddhist enclave in both India and the Himalayas. A large number of frescoes displayed on its walls depict tales from the Buddhist pantheon. There are many priceless collections of thankas (scroll paintings), manuscripts, well-preserved statues, frescos and extensive murals which cover almost every wall.
Return back to Kaza after a full day excursion. Overnight at Kaza.
Post breakfast. We will cotinue our holiday and visit to the villages of Langja, Hikkim-Komik and Kye Monastery with packed lunch.
Villages of Langja: These Villages are all situated over the height of 4000 Mts. With striking locations and house some of the most interesting monasteries in the Spiti Valley.
HIKKIM: The ancient Monastery of Hikkim also known as the Tangyur Gompa is of unique importance as this is one of the two Sakya Pa Monasteries in Spiti Valley second being situated at Kaza. This Monastery was responsible for the revision or propagation of Tantra teachings during the 14th Century. Abundance of fossils, comprising of Shells etc. takes one 50 millions years back when Indian subcontinent drifting northwards across the Ocean of Tethys on its tectonic plate slammed into the stationary mass of Asia and gave birth to the mighty Himalayas.
Visit to Key monastery : Key Gompa is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery located on top of a hill at an altitude of 4,166 metres above sea level, close to the Spiti River, in the Spiti Valley of Himachal Pradesh, Lahaul and Spiti district, India
8:00 a.m. - Post breakfast. Drive to Solang nullah over the Rohtang Pass with packed Lunch. Arrive at Solang Nallah late afternoon. Check into Himalayan Lodge. Evening at Leisure. Enjoy Dinner around campfire.
9:00 a.m. - Post breakfast. Transfer to Manali for a self exploration and shopping and onward journey back.
